Puppy on Crack

I walked into my house the other day after running some errands. Like I usually do when I return home, I let the dogs out of the kennel and take them outside to do their business. After bringing them inside I get the dog toys out so they can be occupied while I put away my groceries and begin to make lunch for my human kids. I hear a massive amount of chaos and barking.

This is not unusual for my dogs, however I go check it out anyway just to make sure they are behaving. Sometimes this is the first sign of a fight for my dogs. Turns out, my puppy was going crazy. He was darting from one end of the room to the other, jumping on and off the couch, literally kicking himself off the wall to run faster. My older dog was standing out of the way watching. He was going absolutely crazy!

I yell his name to calm him down..."Stitch!" He froze, and looked at me smiling. He was like..."What's up mom? Why are you ruining my fun?" I started laughing and tossed him back outside where he could run around without destroying my house or rearranging my furniture.

Long story short...I didn't let him release enough energy before I left so he was overloaded. Once I let him run it off, he was back to his typical self.
